Freelancing ABC: A Newbies' Checklist to Get You Started on Your First Freelancing Gig
Welcome to Freelancing ABC: A Newbies' Checklist to Get You Started on Your First Freelancing Gig!
This checklist covers the essentials to jumpstart your freelancing career.
What is this?
A Notion checklist of freelancing essentials to get you started on your career.
How to interact with the checklist?
You can duplicate it as a template and open it on your Notion app.
If you don’t have Notion or have no idea how to duplicate the template into your Notion database, please scroll down to the bottom!
Why did I create this checklist?
Because this is what new freelancers need.
And this is something I wish I had when I first started freelancing.
How will this checklist benefit you?
- Feel accountable to yourself.
- Start your career with little to no mistakes.
- And you can work more efficiently in your own time.
This checklist covers freelancing essentials and are categorized into 3 areas:
- Your workspace
- The Technicals
- Soft Skills
You can accomplish the checklist anytime and anywhere. Some might finish it in a week, while some may take 3 months. It’s a self-paced learning product.
No matter how long you work through it, expect to have learned the following:
- Setting up a workspace that works for you
- Having the right equipment for the service you offer
- Started building an online presence on social media platforms
- Feel confident in marketing yourself with a plan
- Get an idea of your pricing strategy
- Know if you need contracts
And be on your way to becoming a high-performing freelancer everyday.
Btw, I get 3-7 LinkedIn messages every week from people who are interested in owning their time and finding the ‘free’ in freelancing. They are busy, but they want to learn.
Hence, Freelancing ABC was created.
